Nanushka has opened a boutique in SoHo. The store design, developed in collaboration with Italian architect Matteo Corbellini, is defined by the use of Nanushka fabrics arranged within a temporary framework. Some elements are fixed, while others are movable, creating a dynamic interplay between stability and fluidity. The black lacquered metal furniture (designed by Allina for Lunaa) embodies similar principles, offering adaptability and fluidity within the space. Raw metal components are assembled with visible welds that echo the stitching in fabric, creating a cohesive and dynamic design. “New York City, a global symbol of diverse and intense urbanization, contrasts sharply with the new store design I’ve crafted for SoHo,” said Corebellini. “This store provides a fluid, transparent and open sanctuary amidst the city’s complexity, creating a meditative atmosphere within the bustling context.” Founded in 2006 by Sandra Sándor, the Budapest-based fashion house showcases beautifully crafted pieces with an authentic and consistent consideration for responsible production. Nanushka womenswear, menswear and accessories explore the beauty in imperfection to present a fluid, sustainable wardrobe informed by heritage and innovation.
