A rebounder (a fancy term for a mini trampoline) is like your living room’s secret weapon against boring workouts. These compact trampolines aren’t just for reliving your childhood days of fun, but they’re actually serious fitness tools that experts say get your heart pumping, aid lymphatic drainage, and improve balance. Plus, they’re gentle on your joints and take up little space in your home gym.

To find the best trampolines and rebounders available, we tested 14 of the most popular models on the market. We jumped, jacked, and high-kneed our way through hours of testing, evaluating each trampoline based on assembly, bounce quality, stability, and more. After testing each option—and our own coordination and agility—we found clear winners across every category, budget, and fitness level. So whether you want a tiny trampoline to get your blood flowing or a heavy-duty option for some serious workouts, we’ve got an option for every fitness routine.

Dimensions: 40-inch diameter, 13-inch height | Maximum Weight: 250 pounds | Foldable: No | Tension: Springs

This sturdy rebounder provides peace of mind, even during vigorous workouts. It’s wobble-free, and every bounce is consistent and controlled, so we confidently built momentum for higher jumps. The jump zone feels thick and gives a springy bounce-back. It’s also 40 inches in diameter, offering plenty of surface area to jump without worrying about stepping off. If you’re still concerned (and have the space), it also comes in a 48-inch model.

As for quality, this tiny trampoline delivers. Everything from the base to the spring covers feels heavy-duty. Unlike some other options we tested, this one doesn’t come with a handlebar. But we actually didn’t mind since nothing stood in the way of our sky-high knees. If you do prefer the added stability of a handlebar, you can purchase one separately.

Testers say: “This rebounder was so stable—I never felt nervous about bouncing off or the springs not being secure enough. I even bounced much higher at the end for fun and didn’t feel unbalanced or unsupported at all. It allowed for a wide range of movement (especially because the surface was wider on this one.) I never had to check for or adjust for stability even during the more intense exercises like jumping jacks or ski jumps.”

    Why We Like It

    • High weight limit

    • Feels very stable

    • Great for beginners

Dimensions: 40-inch diameter, 10-inch height | Maximum Weight: 450 pounds | Foldable: No | Tension: Bungee cords

If you’re new to rebounding, and not yet ready to make a sizable investment, this is a great option. We loved jumping our way through workouts on the spacious surface area, which provided a consistent bounce with each exercise. This rebounder gets its bounce from bungee cords, rather than springs, so the impact is a bit softer and a lot quieter. And we love that it has one of the highest maximum weight capacities on our list, making it super inclusive for all exercisers.

JumpSport 300 PRO Series 39 Inch Fitness Trampoline
    PHOTO: Amazon

Dimensions: 39-inch diameter, 13-inch height | Maximum Weight: 300 pounds | Foldable: No | Tension: Bungee cords

For adults who want workout versatility, we love this pick because it’s supported by high-quality adjustable bungee cords. You can actually choose the level of bounce you want: tighter cords will send you higher into the air, or add some slack for a softer landing. We felt stable and supported with each jack and jump regardless of the tension. This incredibly durable rebounder doesn’t wobble or squeak, even during high-energy moves. It’s pricier than other options, but a worthy investment for fun fitness—if you ask us.

Testers say: “This trampoline felt very stable. No shifting or instability whatsoever. The bungee cords were very supportive and had the perfect amount of resistance for me. And I really like that they’re adjustable.”

KENSONE 40 Inch Foldable Mini Trampoline
    PHOTO: Amazon

Dimensions: 40-inch diameter, 47-inch max height (with handlebar) | Maximum Weight: 330 pounds | Foldable: Yes | Tension: Springs

This trampoline stands out for its stability and support. An easily adjustable handlebar helped us find a comfortable and stable workout, while suction-cup legs provided a completely secure base for bouncing. Plus, since the trampoline is less springy than other options, you get less momentum and height. We think all of these safety features make this a great choice for beginners or older adults. And we can’t not mention that it’s reasonably priced—because who doesn’t appreciate that?

    PHOTO: Amazon

Dimensions: 40-inch diameter, 13-inch height | Maximum Weight: 285 pounds | Foldable: No | Tension: Bungee cords

For ski jumps, high-knees, butt-kicks, and other cardio moves, we love this unique square-shaped rebounder. Like a few others on our list, the bungee cords are adjustable, so you can tighten the tension when you’re ready to level up and (even better) loosen them when you just want some joyful jumping time. The jump zone is sturdy, with consistent bounce in all four corners. And we love that you can put it up against a wall if you want something to hold on to (since this doesn’t come with a handlebar).

Just note: it has a lower weight capacity than most, which is one of our only cons for this tiny trampoline.

Testers say: “The amount of bounce was perfect. The tension allowed me to feel enough resistance without it feeling too bouncy. I felt in control and fully stable without the cords feeling too loose. I felt the most tension while doing the ski jumps and immediately felt the burn and felt my muscles working harder during this move.”

    PHOTO: Amazon

Dimensions: 40-inch diameter, 42-inch max height (with handlebar) | Maximum Weight: 330 pounds | Foldable: Yes | Tension: Springs

When trying something new, beginners want low-investment but high-quality equipment—and we get it! That’s why we recommend this rebounder for beginner bouncers who want an effective home workout without having to spend a fortune. It stands out for its easily adjustable handlebar, which we found completely sturdy for support. It’s also removable, which we appreciate for convenient storage. The springs feel durable and strong, and the trampoline is big enough to make full, sweeping jumping jacks without worrying about where you land.

Dimensions: 40-inch diameter, 35-inch max height (with handlebar) | Maximum Weight: 220 pounds | Foldable: Yes | Tension: Springs

Short on space? This rebounder has the same jumping surface area as other 40-inch trampolines, but it folds completely in half for simple storage. It’s also lightweight, so you can pick it up and move it around, but it still feels sturdy and durable. And we love that the handlebar is adjustable and removable, adding stability and versatility. The maximum weight is lower than other options, so just double-check before checking out!

Dimensions: 39-inch diameter, 13-inch height | Maximum Weight: 441 pounds | Foldable: No | Tension: Bungee cords

HIIT workouts have many benefits—like improved cardiovascular health and strengthened muscles—but can often be harsh on sensitive joints. Rebounders offer an approachable way to try these intense workouts at any fitness level. We love this trampoline for HIIT since it produced some of our highest jumps during testing—these bungee cords will have you flying high! Plus, we had plenty of surface area to do jumping jacks and high knees with confidence. We also love that you can choose between four bungee strengths and opt to have foldable legs for storage.

    What to Know About Rebounders

    • Rebounder vs. Trampoline: Rebounder is simply another term for a miniature trampoline. And rebounding is an increasingly popular workout that offers a low-impact yet high-intensity approach to fitness. Jumping on rebounders, or tiny trampolines, is also beneficial for improving cardiovascular health, challenging your muscles, and refining balance—all from the convenience of your own home.
    • Size and Weight Capacity: Typically, rebounders are about 35 to 48 inches in diameter and about a foot high, providing a large enough jump zone for various exercises. They also all have a maximum weight capacity, an important key feature to look at before shopping. Some rebounders are foldable, while others have removable handlebars. Depending on your home space, preferences, and fitness level, you have many options to choose from.
    • Tension Type: Rebounders get their bounce from two types of tension; either springs or bungee cords hold the jumping pad to the frame. Springs are generally more taut and can provide a higher bounce, similar to a large trampoline. Bungee cords are often adjustable, so you can tighten them for a stiffer bounce or make them slack for a softer landing and less upward momentum.

    Frequently Asked Questions

    • Is a trampoline as good as a rebounder?

A rebounder is the same thing as a mini trampoline. According to Colette Dong, co-founder of The Ness fitness studio, “Rebounders, or mini trampolines, are smaller and firmer, which allows for a safe, controlled bounce workout. A larger trampoline that you might see in a backyard is designed for multiple people where the focus is jumping high.”

    • What brand has the best rebounder?

Rebound instructor McKenna Larsen loves JumpSport rebounders. “The JumpSport 300 Pro Series, in particular, offers stability, the right amount of bounce, and is lightweight,” she says. She also likes that the bungees are adjustable, making this rebounder a good option for beginners and seasoned jumpers. That said, if you’re looking for a trampoline with a handlebar, or one that’s foldable for a small space, check out our top, tested options above.

    • What are rebounder trampolines good for?

The major benefit of rebounding is that it’s inherently low-impact but still high-intensity, says Dong. Rebounders absorb the impact of every jump, so there’s no unnecessary pounding on your joints and bones. “Rebounding also stimulates the lymphatic system, which helps your body flush out toxins, boosts your immune system, and reduces inflammation,” says Dong. Bouncing can also improve strength, coordination, and balance. Plus, it’s just plain fun!
