Condé Nast, the publisher of Vogue, GQ and Vanity Fair, announced Thursday that it had appointed Claire Thomson-Jonville to lead the French edition of Vogue as head of editorial content, overseeing the publication across platforms.
Thomson-Jonville first joined Vogue’s global network in September 2024 as global contributing editor, overseeing Vogue France’s print edition, with her first being the magazine’s December 2024/January 2025 issue. She previously held senior leadership positions at Self Service magazine and i-D magazine’s French edition.
“Claire brings a depth of experience as a stylist, fashion editor and journalist, and she has an incredibly exciting vision for Vogue France,” said Anna Wintour, chief content officer at Condé Nast and global editorial director of Vogue, in a statement. “Maintaining its French character is of paramount importance to her, as is the discovery of new talent in fashion, wellness, beauty, arts and culture.”
Thomson-Jonville will begin her new role on Feb. 3 and will report to Wintour.
