Colton Underwood and Jordan C. Brown plunked down nearly $3.2 million for a traditional Los Angeles residence in the San Fernando Valley community of Sherman Oaks back in late 2021. Now, a little over three years and a substantial renovation later, the former NFL hopeful-turned-reality TV personality—probably best known for starring in the 2019 season of The Bachelor and later publicly coming out as gay—and his political strategist husband are returning the property to the market, asking a significantly higher $4.2 million.

Built in the mid-1970s and extensively updated by the couple in collaboration with designer Chad Wood, the home was previously owned by Jessica Simpson’s now-divorced parents, Joe Simpson and Tina Drew, who doled out $2.1 million for the place in spring 2006 and then sold it 14 years later for the same amount.

Nestled on a third of an acre tucked away behind a lengthy gated and hedge-lined driveway leading to an attached three-car garage, the creamy stucco and shingle-roof contemporary structure has four bedrooms and an equal number of baths. Just under 3,380 square feet of two-level living space is adorned throughout with a mix of stone and imported Spanish wide-plank natural oak floors.

Other highlights include a spacious window-lined great room resting beneath a sky-lit ceiling and displaying a floor-to-ceiling fireplace and two sets of doors spilling out onto a wraparound terrace that’s ideal for alfresco entertaining. There’s also an adjacent dining area painted a pale shade of green, plus a kitchen outfitted with an eat-in island and first-class Viking appliances.

A posh primary retreat awaits upstairs, complete with a custom burl wood bed frame sporting integrated nightstands, a walk-in closet, and a luxe bath equipped with dual vanities, a freestanding soaking tub, and a glass-encased shower. The creature comforts continue outdoors, where the flat grassy grounds host a kidney-shaped pool and raised spa nestled alongside a lounge area with a fire pit.

The listing is held by Mick Partridge of The Beverly Hills Estates.
