If you’ve been watching Emily in Paris over the years, no doubt you’ve eyed chef Gabriel’s hardworking cast iron skillet. Heralded for its durability, cast iron is the workhorse of cooking implements but that doesn’t mean you’re stuck with basic black. Each year the venerable French cookware brand Staub releases a new color in their collection of enameled cast iron—there are 20 hues in the current assortment—and this spring they’re putting a softer spin on the traditionally tough pots and pans.

Just in time for Valentine’s Day, Staub’s fresh new Pink Peony collection is inspired by “the ethereal, blush-colored pink peonies blooming in an outdoor French market.” It’s the perfect tone of pink—chalky not saccharine—with a sophisticated brass knob on the lid of the round Dutch oven (called a Cocotte) and the oval French oven. There are also skillets and a lidded pan, all of which are dishwasher safe and don’t require seasoning thanks to the enameled coating.

Whether you’re whipping up Valentine’s Day dinner for two or inviting friends over for a Galentine’s party, take this enameled cast iron from oven to table for effortless entertaining. The rosy hue is even pretty enough to do double duty as an ice bucket. Style your table with colors that go with pink: think warm neutrals, red and white, or blue and green. Then add a vase of spring blooms and golden accents like flatware and candlesticks.
The Pink Peony range is available exclusively at Williams-Sonoma through April 1, after which it will be available at additional retail partners nationwide. Prices start at $99.
