Comfortable footwear is a must-have if you spend a nice chunk of time on your feet. Whether you’re standing or walking all day, the stress you put on your feet can be painful. As someone who lives in a walkable city, I know a thing or two about finding an ideal everyday pair of shoes. That said, I recently came across the Ryka Echo Knit Slip-On sneakers, which have the approval of the American Podiatric Medical Association and are on sale, starting at $50.

These casual sneakers are a convenient option thanks to their slip-on design — though the supportive cushion is also a bonus when it comes to all-day wear. The soft, responsive midsole adds a bouncy feel to steps, while also absorbing shock to protect against impact. This feature helps to lessen the strain on the feet and joints, while the insoles provide extra support for the arch and heel.

Meanwhile, the stretchable knit fabric ensures a breathable and flexible fit, allowing you to move more comfortably. The Echo Knit Slip-On sneakers are also specifically ideal for women due to the wider forefront for stability and a narrower heel for a secured fit. The sticky rubber sole with grooves is another great feature for stability as it provides excellent traction for the outdoors.

Reviewers agreed these slip-on sneakers from Ryka are easy to wear for long periods of time, too. “They’re lightweight and pretty supportive, but the main thing is that they don’t constrict my puffy feet and they don’t cause my flat feet discomfort even after wearing them for hours,” said an Amazon shopper. A nurse even noted that these “super comfortable” shoes leave them with “zero” back pain after a 13-hour shift. Similarly, a medical worker raved that they “totally support” feet while they’re on their feet all day. Another user wrote on Zappos’ site that they’re “as comfortable as slippers but [with] much better support.”

The Ryka Echo Knit Slip-On Sneakers are a budget-friendly pair with plenty of cushion and support. Shop these podiatrist-approved kicks along with more colorways on sale at Amazon and Zappos, below.
