Dr. Pepper drinkers have been impatiently awaiting the launch of a new flavor, and this one is sure to rock their world. Boasting flavors of a fruity-tart berry, the new sip will move you from traditional cherry and vanilla flavors to a refreshingly sweet palate.

The fan-favorite soda company has previously launched additional flavors, the most recent being Creamy Coconut: a tropical flavor profile popular among many on social media. It was about time the brand launched a new flavor for their followers and many are getting creative, incorporating the sip into mixed drinks and other tasty concoctions.

    About the New Flavor

It’s the year of blackberry-flavored treats, with Dr. Pepper’s new flavor following on the heels of the new blackberry and sage-flavored Starbucks menu items. Fortunately for Dr. Pepper enthusiasts, the new flavor is here to stay as a permanent offering by the brand.

The new flavor is a perfect mix of Dr. Pepper’s cherry vanilla and tart-sweetness. While some fans thought this flavor might have been inspired by the limited-edition Dark Berry flavor from 2022 (another delicious additional flavor), the new soda places emphasis on the exceptionally smooth, yet sweet kick of blackberry flavoring.

You’ll also find a zero sugar version of Blackberry also joining the brand’s menu of permanent flavors. If you’re hoping to celebrate the arrival of Dr. Pepper Blackberry with something a little more exclusive, the brand is releasing limited-edition 20-ounce bottles of Blackberry. These will only be on store shelves for a couple of months post-release, so get them while you can.

How to Combine Dr. Pepper Blackberry with other Treats

Whether you mix Dr. Pepper with rum or whiskey, this launch is the perfect time to test a new concoction for your cocktail rotation (with the same subtle flavors you love). Hopping onto the dirty soda trend, consider mixing Dr. Pepper Blackberry with a little bit of creamer, cream of coconut, and lime juice.

Regardless of whether you plan to enjoy the new flavor on its own or as a mixer, you can expect to see the new cans (and limited-edition 20-ounce bottle) on grocery store shelves nationwide.
