Like many of us, Yara Flinn has been thinking about the state of the world. “I was feeling a lot of weight like a lot of people are this season,” said Flinn. “When I begin making my collections, I usually start with the fabrics and this season I found myself drawn to these plaids. And once I began to reflect on it, it felt like I was tapping into my teenage self.” The angst that Flinn was feeling was reflected in her ’90s-inspired collection full of plaid flannels, dresses, indigo jeans, and sporty tracksuits.
While many of the pieces from this collection seem basic and simple at first glance, upon a closer look, you’ll see little touches like smock details on the shoulders and waist for some extra cinching.
