If things were quiet in your Etsy shop this morning, it could be due to a glitch that prevented people from opening your listings.
Etsy experienced a major glitch on Monday morning starting after 10:30 am Eastern that lasted until before noon. People reported they were unable to view listings on the site. A graph on Down Detector displayed a spike in reports, with one seller writing at 11:31 am:
“I’m currently unable to view any listings/items in my own shop or in any other shop. The error message says that there are too many re-directs while trying to open the page. I’m experiencing this on my laptop and iPhone.”
People also reported the problem on the Technical Issues thread on the Etsy discussion boards. At 11:06 am, a seller wrote, “Is anyone having tech issues? My items are not showing.” At 11:11 am, another seller said the problem also prevented them from looking at items in other shops in addition to their own listings.
An Etsy moderator acknowledged the problem in the thread at 11:31 am, thanking people for the reports and telling posters that the team was investigating.
At 11:58 am, a seller said the problem was no longer occurring as of a couple of minutes ago, and at noon, the Etsy moderator returned to the thread to report that the problem had been resolved.
