Brad Pitt and Damson Idris are putting the pedal to the metal in the latest teaser trailer for the racing movie F1.
Pitt stars in the Apple film that is set to debut exclusively in theaters and IMAX from Warner Bros. on June 25. Damson Idris, Kerry Condon, Tobias Menzies and Javier Bardem round out the cast for director Joseph Kosinski‘s action movie.
F1 features Pitt as Sonny Hayes, a former Formula One racer who was forced into early retirement until a team owner (Bardem) asks him to return to the sport and help mentor a rookie driver (Idris).
“Red Bull, Ferrari, Mercedes, Aston and now McLaren all have a speed on the straights,” Pitt said in a teaser trailer released last year. “Our shot is battling in the turns. We need to build our car for combat.”
Kosinski helmed the film from a script by Ehren Kruger, following the pair collaborating on the 2022 smash Top Gun: Maverick. Pitt, Kosinski, Jerry Bruckheimer, Dede Gardner, Lewis Hamilton, Jeremy Kleiner and Chad Oman serve as producers for F1.
Idris discussed his excitement about making the movie during an interview with Vanity Fair that published last year. “I look to my left, it’s Brad Pitt. I look to my right, it’s Javier Bardem. I look at my hands, they’re shaking,” Idris recalled about the first day of the shoot. “And we shoot all of this epic stuff, and all the amazing drivers are there, from Lewis [Hamilton] to [Max] Verstappen to everyone.”
