Republican lawmakers have introduced at least 49 resolutions through the first six weeks of the year to rescind regulations finalized in the final months of the Biden administration, based on an analysis of congressional actions.
Biden-era rules published in the Federal Register from Aug. 16 through Jan. 3 are eligible to be revoked under the Congressional Review Act. The CRA states that Congress has 60 working days to decide whether to review an agency rule, a deadline which will expire around May 1.
