They shot this lookbook at the kind of house they envision their clients visiting for a party or event—and the kind we’d all like to live in to be honest. “It’s important to see her in her environment,” Babi explained. What day dressing means at Sachin & Babi is that the Ahluwalias’ signature florals now come in poplin and cotton dresses and blouses paired with playful and youthful short skirts—plus a welcome dose of sparkle and frisson on a blouse with sheer panels covered in pearls. The usual sensibility of Sachin & Babi, colorful but sophisticated, remains, but here with the pragmatism of a simple shirtdress, or with the lightness of sheer printed florals.
