Chet Hanks continues to play coy about his relationship with Kim Zolciak.
The actor/musician addressed the subject during the red-carpet premiere of his new TV series, Running Point. While speaking to People magazine, Chet — son of Hollywood power couple Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson — was asked if he was still in contact with Kim, whom he met in 2023.

“I just texted her in the car right now,” Chet said about the Don’t Be Tardy mom.
When pressed for more details about his and Kim’s status, Chet reiterated they were “friends.”
“I don’t know,” he said before the reporter questioned if he and Kim were “friends” who dated. “No, we’re friends.”
Elsewhere on the red carpet, Access Hollywood asked Chet if Kim was his Valentine.
“She should be. It should be,” he said with a laugh. “What’s up, Kim?”
How did Kim Zolciak meet Chet Hanks?
Rumors of a Kim-Chet romance have circulated since they both appeared on Surreal Life: Villa of Secrets. The reality series captured many flirty moments involving the pair, including a confessional in which Chet described Kim as a “MILF.” The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum addressed her connection with Chet in a July 2024 interview with People, but declined to confirm the romance rumors.
“Wait and see,” she told the outlet before the Surreal Life season premiere. “Chet’s a great guy. I mean, he’s adorable. We’ve had a lot of incredible moments throughout the season that you’ll see. We’ve had some deep conversations and he’s great… I just talked to Chet yesterday.”

Fans got another peek at Kim and Chet’s friendship in November 2024 when the former posted a grip of photos from their concert night. The two attended a Jelly Roll show and got to meet the headliner and his wife backstage.
“Had the best time with [Jelly Roll] and his beautiful wifey [Bunnie XO],” Kim captioned the Instagram carousel. “So fun much with [Chet Hanks]. One of my absolute favorite concerts and everyone that was/is part of this massive operation is beyond kind. There are no words for the happiness and joy that surrounded us all that night. I saw a whole lot of sparkle in the crowd.”

Kim is now navigating a divorce from ex-NFL athlete Kroy Biermann, whom she married in 2011. According to TMZ, the estranged couple — who also share six children — sold their Georgia home for $2.75 million in January — a $3.25 million reduction from the original 2023 listing price.
Following the sale, outlets reported Kroy had filed for divorce from Kim for the third time since 2023. The Georgia mom quickly took to Instagram to dismiss the reports as “not true.”
