SEC Names Crypto Task Force Chief Counsel


The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission has named Mike Selig, a former partner at Willkie Farr & Gallagher, as chief counsel for the new task force aiming to transform the agency’s approach toward the cryptocurrency industry.

Selig earned his Bachelor of Science in philosophy and political science from Florida State University and, while earning his J.D. from the George Washington University Law School, began his professional legal career as an intern for J. Christopher Giancarlo, then a commissioner of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission.
