Before season three of The White Lotus premiered, the HBO show didn’t lack for marketing guile. Collabs were turning up in every category you could imagine. Sunscreen? Check. Mango sticky rice chocolate bars? Yep. A CB2 bed frame? But of course. Among the seemingly endless stream of merch that could only rival Wicked or the Barbie movie, it did lead me to one product that deserves a second look (or sniff)—whether you’re a Mike White stan or not.
Created in partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery, Nest New York created a limited-edition three-wick Cucumber and White Sage candle meant to capture the essence of The White Lotus—which, let’s face it, is where we all wish we could be right now. Much like the characters on this season, my idea of a vacation involves lounging poolside with a drink in hand, regular massages, and okay, maybe not a digital detox bag. Featuring calming notes of cooling cucumber, soothing white sage, and a whisper of lavender, this candle can bring all those fictional wellness retreat vibes straight to your home.
Now, if you’re a Nest aficionado, you might recognize the fragrance profile as one that the brand already offered as part of its wellness collection. However, the real draw here is the decorative packaging that looks straight out of the Thailand jungle. The 21.1-ounce reusable jar is adorned with lotus flower motifs and potentially menacing monkeys sitting in the trees. You can peep the light green-tinted vegan wax through the vessel’s thick glass walls and with 100 hours of burn time, you’ll have time to binge seasons one, two, and three.
The candle’s biggest drawback, if I had to name one, is that the scent is strong and admittedly might be too much for small spaces—like a bathroom or home office. At the same time, it’s indulgent enough to transport you to a tropical paradise any day of the week.
