Marketplace services provider Mirakl notches $11.2 billion in annual GMV

Marketplace services provider Mirakl notches .2 billion in annual GMV

Mirakl reported strong financial results for 2024, with gross merchandise value (GMV) reaching $11.2 billion, a 30% increase year-over-year from 2023.

Annual recurring revenue also grew to $177 million, up 15% from the previous year. The company achieved full-year profitability on its core Mirakl platform, reflecting strong client acquisition and effective cost management, the company says. Mirakl is an ecommerce software and services provider to B2B and B2C marketplaces.

How Mirakl uses AI to grows its GMV

Mirakl said its growth in 2024 was driven by increased demand for artificial intelligence (AI)-powered ecommerce tools and a broader shift toward platform-based business models. The company’s AI investments have more than doubled year over year, with over 300 engineers — including 50 focused exclusively on AI — working to integrate artificial intelligence across Mirakl’s suite of products, according to the company.

Co-founder and co-CEO Adrien Nussenbaum said the company is well-positioned for continued growth in 2025.

“We are diversifying into other ecommerce services and implementing AI-powered solutions that redefine how commerce scales in the digital age,” Nussenbaum says. “Mirakl remains committed to leveling the playing field and challenging digital monopolies to ensure a fairer, more competitive online economy.”

The company expanded its portfolio in 2024 with the launch of Mirakl Connect, an AI-based service that enables brands and sellers to manage sales across multiple marketplaces. The platform provides advanced catalog management, advertising, and reporting tools to help sellers optimize their online performance. Mirakl also completed its acquisition of Adspert in December 2024, reinforcing its capabilities in retail media and advertising.

Mirakl Ads, launched in 2023, achieved over 100% year-over-year growth, and added 22 new clients in 2024. The platform allows retailers to monetize online traffic through AI-driven ad campaigns and real-time data insights. Its client base now includes major retailers such as Rakuten France, Maisons du Monde, and Stadium.

Proof of concept with Rakuten in mid-2024 showed a 53% improvement in monetization performance compared to other services, Mirakl says.

Mirakl platform and client growth

Mirakl’s core Mirakl platform also saw significant success, with 52 new enterprises adopting the technology in 2024. More than 30 clients surpassed $100 million in GMV through the platform. New clients include Nordstrom, JB HiFi, Castorama, and Henry Schein.

Mirakl’s AI initiatives were central to its success in 2024. The company’s AI-powered Catalog Transformer, launched in the second half of the year, automates the supplier catalog management process, allowing enterprises to go onboard and manage product data more efficiently. Internally, over 80% of Mirakl employees use AI daily to improve productivity, the company says.

“AI is at the heart of everything we do at Mirakl,” says co-founder and co-CEO Philippe Corrot. “We’re embedding AI across our suite of solutions to help businesses operate more efficiently and deliver greater value to customers.”

Looking ahead, Mirakl plans to invest more in AI in 2025 than in the previous three years combined. The company expects continued growth from Mirakl Connect and Mirakl Ads as it expands its role in the retail and B2B ecommerce sectors.
