Melissa Gorga and her husband, Joe Gorga, are focusing on their health. Family means everything to The Real Housewives of New Jersey couple, who are the parents to three kids, and they’re taking charge of their health for their brood.
Melissa took to Instagram earlier this month where she revealed that her mom, Donna, as well as her and Joe got a full body scan to “catch anything” going on in their bodies. “Family is everything, and as my mother is getting older and Joe is my rock. I wanted to make sure that we have a heads up and we can catch anything that might be going on in our bodies right from the start,” she noted in the caption of the post.
Melissa, Joe, and Donna can be seen in the photo, sitting in front of the scan, which is “under an hour,” according to Melissa. “Definitely put this on your list and give yourself the peace of mind,” she concluded.

Melissa opened up more about the topic on her podcast, On Display with Melissa Gorga, on Friday, March 7, where she shared detials about the scan. She revealed that Donna was the one who pushed them all to get it. “My mother has been driving me crazy to get that full body scan,” she noted. “It’s very preventative. What a great experience, right? I really, really loved it.”
Melissa emphasized the importance of going to the doctor for routine check ups to her podcast listeners. “If you want to do it every five years, just the same way girls do mammograms or colonoscopies…it’s preventative,” she noted. “It’s finding it early.”
