Before Harry Van Vliet pursued a boatmance with Brianna Duffield on Below Deck Down Under Season 3, he got to know Margot Sisson.
The deckhand and the stew made their Below Deck Down Under debuts on Season 2, and Harry quickly felt a romantic spark. After taking Margot out on a date, she declared that she wanted the two to just be friends.
During an exclusive chat with The Daily Dish on March 12, Harry revealed where he stands with the Wisconsin native today. “I don’t talk to her that much,” he admitted, though it’s not because they’re on bad terms. “I’d definitely ring her and she’d answer, you know. Definitely.”
On the After Show of the March 17 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Harry revealed that he remained close to Margot after Season 2 wrapped. “I have been in contact with Margot,” he said. “I actually went and saw her in Wisconsin after Season 2. I spent two weeks in Wisconsin, the family state, apparently. And, yeah, we’re great friends.”
Margot posted a video from Harry’s Wisconsin trip on her Instagram feed in September 2023. “PSA: Harry LOVES Wisconsin,” she captioned the post at the time.

Margot and Harry developed a strong platonic relationship on the boat, but the Australian does not see things progressing between them in the future.
“No, I would never see a relationship with Margot now, we’re too good of friends,” he said on the WWHL After Show. “She’s lovely.”

Viewers will have to keep tuning in to Below Deck Down Under Season 3 to find out what happens between Harry and Brianna, but he has since confirmed that he is unattached. “Yeah, I’m single,” he shared on WWHL when asked about his dating status today. “On the prowl.”

Since her time on the sophomore season of Below Deck Down Under, Margot has returned to Wisconsin. Though she was a stew on the show, she’s since developed a strong passion for cooking and baking.
Margot shares her recipes and creations on her public Instagram page. When one follower pointed out that she should return to the show as a chef, Margot joked, “I wouldn’t last an hour lol.”
