A friendly getaway just got cheaper.
Frontier Airlines recently announced a new promotion that makes travel with a companion or friends totally free, with its Friends Fly Free fare sale. Passengers can book a regular round-trip ticket, and get a complimentary companion fare that can be used for a friend, spouse, or anyone else.
Before booking, travelers should be aware the promotion is only available to members of Frontier’s Discount Den, the airline’s paid subscription program. The program costs $99 a year and provides access to cheaper flights and even free flights for a traveler’s children. With this added perk, a traveler’s friend or companion can also snag a free fare.
Travelers simply enter the promotion code FLYFREE during checkout to get the free companion fare. The flights must be booked before March 24, 2025, and are valid on travel through May 21, 2025, making it a great option for spring break or early summer vacations.
The companion promotion comes as Frontier has been rolling out deals to entice Southwest Airlines customers after the rival airline recently ended its free checked bag policy. For instance, Frontier recently announced it would offer a free economy bundle consisting of a carry-on bag and seat assignment with the code FREEBAG until March 24. While the companion promotion is valid on travel through May 21, the free bag and economy bundle offer is valid through August 18, 2025.
“With the $0 Economy Bundle already making travel easier and more affordable, and the added benefit of a free checked bag for future flights, we’re now giving travelers one more reason to fly – because everything’s better with a friend,” Frontier’s Chief Commercial Officer Bobby Schroeter said in a news release about the multiple promotions.
In addition to frequent promotions to bring in new passengers, the airline has been expanding its route map including new flights to Aruba and Honduras.
