eBay added three of its executives to the board of directors of its foundation. As the company explains, “eBay Foundation’s core mission is to create inclusive opportunities by strategically partnering with nonprofit organizations that are addressing and removing barriers to entrepreneurship for people who identify with historically excluded groups.”
Alex Kazim, Julie Cheng, and John Feldmeier joined the board’s existing members Julie Loeger, Patrice Green, Jonathan Jayes-Green, Derek Allgood, Rebecca Spencer, and Scott Andrews.
Alex Kazim is eBay Vice President and General Manager of Global Advertising. A “boomerang” employee, he currently leads eBay’s advertising business.
Julie Cheng is eBay Senior Director of Advertising Engineering with 20 years in the advertising industry, including roles at Yahoo and Apple.
John Feldmeier is eBay Vice President of Site Engineering and Information Technology with 20 years experience. eBay said his strategic leadership and expertise in scaling teams and processes would support the foundation’s goal to maximize community impact.
In announcing the board appointments, eBay said the eBay Foundation had granted nearly $18 million in 2024 – and nearly $139 million in total since 1998 to over 1,800 nonprofits.
