SS: I think as a traveler, I don’t know, what I always recommend is talk to somebody, talk to a human, don’t go off of just Instagram and digital reviews or things like this. But I had never been to Morocco, and I asked a friend, and she’s got a friend and someone else, and end up having a local Moroccan showing me around their town. And that’s the most beautiful way to travel I think, is to imagine if somebody came to your city, what a great experience they would have if you showed them around because you would show them the very best places. Come to Houston and I will, you’ll eat well, you’ll have a great time. Mostly you eat though because that’s what we do in Houston. But I think that that’s what I would recommend is really trying to connect with a human being. Because in that way, you’re never going to be as extractive as you would be in any other way because at that point you’re just having human to human connection and you’re allowing them to show you their world.
