The news is on fire with warnings of new car price hikes, but Nissan is cutting prices.
The automaker yesterday lowered the MSRPs of two of its most popular models – the midsize Pathfinder SUV and its best-seller, the compact Rogue crossover. The move doesn’t mean the two are insulated from tariffs that kick in tomorrow. Both are mostly built in the U.S., exempting them from tariffs on finished cars (some Nissan Rogue models are also made in Japan). However, both use significant quantities of foreign parts, which could mean their prices will rise in a month when tariffs on parts begin.
2025 Nissan Pathfinder Pricing
The Pathfinder, Nissan’s 3-row midsize SUV, has rugged roots but has grown into a comfortable family car with some off-road capability. It’s due for an update next year, but our editors like the current model’s strong safety scores and towing muscle.
Nissan charges a mandatory $1,390 destination fee on all Pathfinders.

2025 Rogue Pricing
The Rogue was the ninth best-selling vehicle in America last year. Our editors love its fuel economy (its 3-cylinder turbocharged engine is unusual but gives it solid gas mileage and respectable power) and possibly the most comfortable seats in its class. Nissan dealers love how it keeps selling even as the company has struggled and looked for a merger partner in recent months.
There’s an all-new Rogue due next year, complete with hybrid and plug-in hybrid versions. But buying the last model year of a design means you’re buying a proven car with easily available parts and all the kinks worked out. Don’t avoid the 2025 Rogue just because the 2026 Rogue will be all-new.
