Benny Blanco finally sold his three-bedroom, three-bath Chelsea bachelor pad for $3.6 million. The March sale, at the historic Chelsea Mercantile building, was nearly $400,000 below the initial $3.99 million ask listed for the corner loft in May 2024 and slightly under the reduced $3.75 million price posted this past November.
Blanco, a producer and musician more famous these days for his engagement to Selena Gomez than his work on Rihanna’s “Diamonds,” bought the 2,200-square-foot condo more than a decade ago for $3,445,000. Per Realtor.com, which first reported the sale, he did a pricey gut renovation to give the apartment an open-plan layout, with the foyer leading to an airy living space that features 11-foot ceilings and southeast exposures. There’s a chef’s kitchen, where Blanco, whose expanding résumé also includes “cookbook author,” may have practiced before cooking oversize meatballs for his now-fiancée.

The primary suite, separated from the rest of the apartment with white oak doors, includes a sizable walk-in closet, a windowed workspace, and a “spa-like” bathroom (that is, if wall-to-wall black tilework helps with your stress relief). A second bedroom also features a marble en-suite bathroom plus custom built-ins, while the third bedroom, which can double as an office space, comes with a Murphy bed. The staging, which gently suggests “a musician lives here” with the handful of guitars and a keyboard lining the spare bedrooms, is a far cry from Blanco’s 1939 Los Angeles mansion. Architectural Digest toured the boho acid trip last year, with highlights including a custom wood-fire pizza oven bearing Blanco’s name, a candy bar, and a movie theater with velvet-lined walls.

Blanco and Gomez announced their engagement this past December, but brokers likely saw it coming — just days before, the pair covertly picked up a $35 million, seven-bed, 12-bath Spanish-style mansion in Beverly Hills. Who better to co-sign a deed with than your “bes fwen”?
