Healthy skin looks different for everyone, yet one fact remains: it can be a challenge to maintain. It can even feel like a full-time job when tackling countless concerns, whether it be acne, fine lines, age spots, or dryness. But at the end of the day, it’s safe to say we all want to boost our skin’s natural glow. Believe it or not, celebrities are in the same boat, and Gabrielle Union told me about her go-to products for tackling her own skincare concerns.

“I am no different than everyone else who is obsessed with glass skin and chasing that beautiful skin perfection which doesn’t exist,” said Union, who has recently partnered with PCA Skin, in a phone interview. “But I’d like to get as close as possible.”

At age 52, Union told me that hydration is key for keeping her face “luminous and plump.” She swears by the PCA Skin Vitamin B3 Brightening Serum and Pro Max Age Renewal Serum — both of which are part of her daily routine. “They’re so hydrating and… moisturizing [that] you can’t really beat it,” said Union.

The brightening serum is beneficial for all skin types as it targets a number of concerns like fine lines, hyperpigmentation, sun damage, dryness, and redness. In other words, it gets the job done for almost every concern. That’s thanks to  ingredients like niacinamide, glycerin, and green tea that improve skin texture and tone. They work together to brighten, soothe inflammation, deeply hydrate, and smooth.

Meanwhile, the Pro Max Age Renewal Serum is particularly ideal for mature skin thanks to its firming, lifting, and smoothing properties. The face and neck treatment taps peptides and kangaroo paw flower extract to boost collagen and elastin production, improving the appearance of wrinkles and sagging skin. Bonus: these rejuvenating ingredients can lock in moisture to also reveal a plumper texture.

Another must-have? The $25 Tirtir Glossy Coating Mist, which is the latest staple in the actress’ beauty routine. It contains polyglutamic acid, chamomile, and witch hazel to soften and soothe dehydrated skin. On top of this, the spray is also great for shrinking pores and creating a dewy complexion in seconds.

The Being Mary Jane star admits that a consistent routine truly changed the game for her skin. While initially a skeptic in her younger years, Union (and her skin) can now no longer live without using skincare daily. “My skin absolutely can and did change for the better when I got into a routine and I just stuck with it, and consistency always shows results in anything,” said Union. It’s thanks to PCA Skin products and her esthetician Candice Miele (also a brand partner) that the actress’ face looks “fuller,” more radiant, and feels like “baby skin” to the touch, she said.

It’s never too late to give your complexion a glow-up. Check out more of Gabrielle Union’s go-to beauty and wellness products below, starting at $18.
