Eva Marcille’s son, Michael “Mikey” Todd Sterling, is officially another year older! The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum is the mom to three adorable children with her ex-husband, Michael Sterling, and just shared an update on their co-parenting journey while paying tribute to their oldest son.
The model cannot get enough of all three of her children — daughter, Marley, Rae as well as sons, Mikey Todd and Maverick (more on that below). But, she celebrated Mikey’s 7th birthday on Sunday, April 13, in the sweetest way, penning beautiful words to her son. Eva took to her Instagram feed on Sunday, where she posted a photo of Mikey, holding a glass filled with juice, as he went to clink glasses with his mom. She then wrote a gorgeous tribute to him in the caption of the post.
“Happy Birthday Big Boy!!!!!!” she wrote. “Seven years ago today you entered this world and changed my life for ever!!! My Son/Sun Michael Todd Sterling Jr.”
Mikey’s dad also took to Instagram on Sunday, where he posted a Reel filled with the cutest photos and videos of the little boy named after him taken over the past seven years. “Michael T. Sterling II. This dude is full of curiosity and passion,” Michael wrote in the caption of the post. “All he wants is everything. He gives me the hardest times and the best times. He is a fierce competitor and a constant diplomat. And he loves to be all up under me. I guess I better enjoy it while it lasts. Happy 7th Birthday Mikey.”
Eva, who has been open about Mike’s important role in their kids’ lives, then shared some insight into their co-parenting relationship, taking to the comments of the post to leave a message for her son. “My big boy,” she wrote, alongside a sunflower emoji.

Days before celebrating Mikey, Eva took to Instagram, where she posted a series of photos from the spring break trip that she took with her kids. In the photos and videos, Eva can be seen hanging out at the airport with the trio, taking her sons to an arcade, and sipping on some celebratory sparkling cider with her kids in their hotel room.
“My loves Marley, Mikey, and Maverick and I did it up for spring break!!!!” she wrote in the caption of the post. “God is good, life is good.”

It’s safe to say that things have been very “good” for the Marcille-Sterling family. Eva took to Instagram in February, where she showed off her “epic” weekend with her kids. In the photos, Marley and her brothers can be seen ice skating, before hanging out at a driving range and grabbing some grub. “This weekend with my babies was epic!” she wrote in the caption of the post.
This post comes on the heels of the actress telling BET Talks in December 2024 that she wants to be the “best” mother to all three of her children. “I just want to be the best mom that I can be, I want to provide the best life for my kids, and I work my ass off to do it,” she noted.
