Shopware has named BlueSnap a payments partner.
Shopware is a Germany-based ecommerce platform developer and services provider. Its partnership with BlueSnap comes as Shopware expands into North America. The partnership aims to streamline transactions and broaden payment options for B2B and B2C merchants in the U.S. and Canada.
Shopware offers open-source commerce applications for both consumer and business-facing operations. It selected BlueSnap to support its payments infrastructure with credit card processing, mobile wallets, and secure checkout capabilities. The companies say the integration will help merchants facilitate digital transactions with greater flexibility and security.
BlueSnap-Shopware partnership
While Shopware is well established in European markets, its move into North America comes amid growing demand from distributors and manufacturers for customizable, API-driven commerce platforms. The addition of BlueSnap’s payment orchestration tools allows Shopware to offer embedded checkout options and features such as tokenized shopper storage, payment links, and support for Apple Pay and Google Pay.
The partnership reflects broader momentum in B2B ecommerce as more sellers adopt digital platforms capable of handling complex payments, invoicing, and back-end integrations. By embedding a wider range of payment services directly into their storefronts, B2B merchants can reduce friction in procurement and reordering workflows.
BlueSnap operates a global network of financial partners and payment solutions. It has been expanding its focus on enterprise clients in manufacturing, distribution, and services. The BlueSnap partnership with Shopware supports a growing number of B2B commerce platforms seeking to offer native payment capabilities as part of a unified buying experience.
The companies did not disclose terms of the partnership. Both companies said the collaboration is part of a broader effort to simplify online payments and reduce barriers to entry for businesses selling digitally across borders.
