Etsy is developing a feature that alerts sellers about issues that could impact the search visibility of their listing before it goes live. The real-time “listing quality feedback alerts” identify issues that impact the listing’s search ranking. The functionality is currently available to a select group of sellers as Etsy tests it, calling it an “experimental feature.”
Etsy also said it had launched “listing prioritization” on the search visibility dashboard that shows which listings would benefit most from a refresh, so sellers know where to focus first.
The news about features to help sellers improve their listings’ visibility in search came in an announcement on Tuesday where Etsy also announced other changes impacting sellers. They included enhancements to photo processing; the ability to see all listing categories and subcategories in the Etsy Seller app; and streamlined navigation in Shop Manager.
Other changes included the following:
- We’ve improved Etsy Ads placement within search to help every shopper find exactly what they’re looking for.
- Shop Home layout updates are being tested to make your inventory easier to browse and shop—ultimately helping you make more sales.
Etsy said it was also making it easier for buyers and sellers to get help:
“We’re enhancing support to help you spend less time managing buyer concerns and more time running your shop. Buyers now have more ways to reach out to Etsy for help. Sellers with an active shop in the US, Canada, UK, and Australia—along with some high-volume sellers in other regions and all Star Sellers —can now reach Etsy Support directly from Shop Manager. We’ll continue to roll out this feature to even more sellers throughout this year, and improve response times and support quality to better meet your needs.”
