When it comes to his career, Jax Taylor is more than just a cast member on The Valley and a bar owner — he’s also a secret eBay seller.
On The Valley After Show, Jason Caperna revealed that one of Jax’s concerns when he was on his way to an in-patient treatment center was what would happen to his online resale business. And, as the person tasked with driving Jax to the facility, Jason was roped into helping Jax finish one last sale before he sought treatment for 30 days.
“Jason was like, ‘You need anything, man?’ And he was like, ‘Yeah, actually, I have this mascara that I sold on eBay, can you drop it off at the post office for me?'” Janet Caperna revealed to Scheana Shay.
As Jason put it, “He had some loose ends he needed tied.”
Jason said that Jax’s eBay business makes him laugh, which is probably why Jax gets slightly defensive when it’s brought up. “I’m like, dude, it’s funny. You’ve made millions of dollars on television over the decade and you’re selling free stuff you get on eBay for like 20 bucks,” Jason continued.
Though his fellow cast members think his side hustle is funny, Jax is the one laughing all the way to the bank.
“I don’t really give a s–t what anybody thinks about that,” he said. “I will continue to do that, and I will always do that.”
What does Jax Taylor sell on eBay?
In addition to free goodies, Jax said he sometimes resells toys he bought or things he just doesn’t need anymore.
“I got rid of a lot during covid because, well, we were scraping money at that time. But I think everybody was. I think everybody was selling s–t at that time. I literally got rid of my cars, everything,” he shared.
Jason added that he thinks it’s even funnier that Jax isn’t selling his own memorabilia, saying, “He’s not selling it like, ‘This was worn by Jax Taylor.’ He’s just like a random guy on eBay selling a protein shake.”
Jax Taylor said his eBay store supplements his family’s income
While Jax, who shares son Cruz Michael Cauchi with estranged wife Brittany Cartwright, is using the extra business as a way to take care of everyday needs.
“I don’t understand the problem that people have with me making extra money and, you know, gas is expensive. Cruz’s school is expensive. Why not?” Jax explained.
But more than that, Jax seems to genuinely enjoy his side hustle. “I love it. It’s a hobby. I like buying, selling, and trading!” he said.
