Stellantis has issued a recall for 48,494 Dodge Hornet and Alfa Romeo Tonale SUVs from model years 2023-2025 because their backup cameras may not show an image.
The company tells federal safety officials that the vehicles may have one or both of two problems: a software defect or improper soldering on a voltage regulator in the radio assembly.
Dealers will update software to fix the programming issue and, if necessary, replace the radio assembly to fix the wiring connection problem.
