During our testing, we were most impressed with this Bissell’s mess-free dustbin, which earned it the title of “Easiest to Empty.” This upright vacuum is very user-friendly, and even the filters—which can be the most annoying part of using an upright vacuum cleaner—are easy to swap out. The filters are reusable, too, so you can pop them out, wash them, let them dry, and easily pop them back in with the push of only one button. It performed the strongest on grouted tile and rugs, including both high-pile and medium-pile. It’s also cordless, which can be tough to find in an upright vac, and transitions easily between tile and carpet. While it may not be the best performing vacuum for hardwood floors (most upright vacuums aren’t), it didn’t leave behind any scratches in our tests, so all in all, it’s a standup cleaner, and it’s especially worth adding to your cart while it’s less than $200.
