Mercedes-Benz has recalled 46 C-Class sedans from model years 2022-2025, including some AMG performance models, because their driver’s seat belts may come loose.

The company tells the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) that covers on the seatbelt pretensioners “might not be properly installed.” That could leave the outboard seatbelt anchor loose and prevent the seatbelt from functioning correctly in an accident.

Mercedes is not aware of any accidents or injuries related to the problem.

Dealers will inspect the seatbelts and reattach the anchor and cover if necessary to fix the problem.

Recall repairs are always free. But millions of us miss recall notices every year and unknowingly drive recalled vehicles. Find out if your car needs any free safety repairs at our easy recall center.
