Olaplex’s net sales declined 1.9 percent to $97 million in the quarter ending March 31, 2025, the company reported Thursday.
The specialty retail channel was a bright spot, generating $38.6 million in sales — a 12 percent increase year-over-year. However, those gains were offset by continued declines in the brand’s professional and direct-to-consumer channels, which fell 10.9 percent and 7.2 percent, respectively.
The prestige hair care company posted net income of $0.5 million, a steep drop from $7.7 million in the same quarter of 2024. Still, Olaplex maintained its full-year guidance and expects net sales between $410 million and $430 million in 2025.
“We had a solid start to the year, as the quarter marked continued progress on our transformation … with first-quarter sales coming in ahead of our expectations,” said Amanda Baldwin, Olaplex’s chief executive, in a statement.
