Hyundai has issued a recall for 620 units of its 2025 Palisade SUV because an oil pump problem can trigger a vehicle fire. “Owners can continue driving these vehicles,” Hyundai says, but the company “recommends parking their vehicles outside and away from structures until the recall remedy is completed.”
Hyundai tells the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration that an insufficient seal can allow moisture into the oil pump. That could lead to a short-circuit in the presence of flammable oil.
Dealers will replace the electronic controller in the oil pump to fix the problem.
