Wisconsin Judge Pleads Not Guilty to Charges of Helping Immigrant Evade Arrest by ICE


Milwaukee, Wisconsin Circuit Judge Hannah Dugan pleaded not guilty on Thursday to federal charges that she obstructed an arrest and deportation operation by U.S. immigration authorities in her courtroom.

Dugan entered the plea before U.S. Magistrate Judge Stephen C. Dries in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin. Her case has been assigned to U.S. District Judge Lynn Adelman of the Eastern District of Wisconsin, a Democratic Bill Clinton appointee. Dugan’s next hearing has been set for July 9 and a trial has been scheduled for July 21.
