General Motors has recalled just 32 Chevrolet Express and GMC Savana vans from model year 2025 because their front passenger seat head restraints may not function properly in an accident.
The company tells federal safety regulators that “the front passenger seat head restraint on these vehicles may not have been properly welded to the seat frame.” A head restraint helps minimize neck injuries in an accident, so that could pose a serious risk to passengers.
Dealers will fix it by inspecting the seat and, if necessary, replacing the entire seat frame.
By law, dealers never charge for recall repairs.
