A rare example of the Italian take on the Dodge Viper is currently up for grabs.

An ultra-rare 2010 Alfa Romeo Zagato TZ3 Stradale is currently up for sale through Young Motorcars in Scottsdale, Arizona. The gorgeous speed machine is one of just nine built to celebrate the Italian marque’s 100th anniversary

The TZ3 Stradale isn’t technically an Italian Viper, but it’s as close as we’ll ever come. The exclusive model was introduced in 2010, in the midst of the automaker’s year-long centenary celebration, as an homage to the Giulia TZ. It features a sleek reimagining of the original car’s clean-lined exterior, on top of the chassis and powertrain from the Viper ACR-X race car. Alfa and Dodge may not seem like the most natural of pairings, but the brands are both owned by the same parent company, Stellantis. Two versions were built: the one-off, track-only Corza model and a nonet of road-going Stradales.

The TZ3, like the Giulia TZ before it, was designed by Italian coachbuilder Zagato. Elements of the Viper’s design can be seen in the new carbon-fiber body—the elongated nose and rear haunches in particular—but it’s also very clearly an Alfa Romeo. It has the brand’s trademark triangular grille up front, smooth lines, and an almost shooting brake-style profile. The two-seater up for sale is finished in Dark Blue metallic paint over a Caramel leather-clad interior.

There was more to the car than just its 1960s-inspired look, though. Under its hood lurked the Viper ACR-X’s odd-firing 8.4-liter V-10. The brawny mill isn’t as powerful as the one found in the American race car, but it still produces 600 hp and 580 ft lbs of torque, which is sent to the rear axle via a six-speed Tremec manual transmission. Thanks to all that power, the vehicle can rocket from zero to 60 mph in just over three seconds and top 200 mph. Only 1,863 miles on the car over the last decade and a half, so those numbers should still be attainable.

Back when it was brand new, the TZ3 Stradale commanded $1 million. The seller is asking $675,000 for the car today, which could easily be the right price for someone in the market for one of the more unusual Alfas of all time.
