Next Gen NYC‘s Emira D’Spain has come a long way since the days of being a self-described “busted, crusted, and dusted” student at New York University.
“When I tell you New York has seen my glow-up…” she jokes in the Next Gen NYC preview clip above. “Years later, I’m that bitch.”
Now, Emira endeavors to help others do the same, adding, “All the things that I put out into the world, it’s like I want everyone to feel confident.”
As she begins her Next Gen NYC journey, here’s everything else to know about Emira.
Who is Emira D’Spain?
Born in Dubai and raised in Dallas, 28-year-old Emira “has hustle in her DNA,” according to her official BravoTV.com bio.
“Ambitious, driven and always two steps ahead, Emira lives life on her own terms and never apologizes for her success,” reads the bio. “She usually stays above the fray when drama unfolds, but this summer, balancing romance and friendship loyalties might disrupt her perfectly planned hustle.”
What does Emira D’Spain do for a living?
Emira “turned her NYU degree and a killer internship into a coveted role as Paper magazine’s beauty director, and now she’s thriving as one of New York’s most successful content creators,” her bio notes.
In her own words, Emira, who also works as a model and influencer, says in the Next Gen NYC sneak peek that while she was working at Paper magazine, “at the same time I was building up my own social platform.” Then, when she started working with Victoria’s Secret, “it kind of, like, blew up.”
Now, Emira’s TikTok account, where she posts fashion and beauty content, currently boasts more than 1.3 million followers who can’t miss her viral GRWM videos and messages of self-empowerment. On Instagram, where Emira describes herself as “the barbie you always wanted,” she has an additional 203,000 followers. Next Gen NYC even highlighted one post where she announced she was actually able to buy her family a house with her earnings.
Inside Emira D’Spain and Brooks Marks’ Bond
Next Gen NYC will showcase Emira’s tight relationship with bestie Brooks Marks, who is the son of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City’s Meredith Marks.
In the above preview, which shows Emiria FaceTiming the RHOSLC son to get his opinion on her recent nose job, Emira explains that they went to NYU together, adding, “Brooksy is like my little baby.”
“Brooks can be the friend who can tell you what you don’t want to hear, and he’ll always do it in the sweetest way,” she adds. “He’ll be like, ‘You’re being unreasonable about this.’ … If anyone else told me this, I’d deck them in the face. But it’s Brooks, so I can’t.”
Indeed, Emira is fiercely loyal. “One thing about Emira is you should never cross her friends,” Brooks warns. “If you go after Emira’s friends, you’re not gonna see the light of day… Well, she’s not, like, a murderer.”
