Matty Matheson is bringing a slice of his culinary personality right to you.
The famed chef, known for his charisma both in and out of the kitchen, just teamed up with the folks at Gozney on a limited-edition pizza oven, alongside some appeal and accessories. The collaboration is a culmination of a 10-year relationship between Matheson and the culinary brand, which was founded back in 2010.
Matheson’s creation is a variant of Gozney’s Tread pizza oven, which debuted earlier this year and is meant for taking your pizza-making obsession on your adventures with you. Instead of the usual green or black colorway, though, the chef decided to do up his oven in a bright-orange hue. He also tapped his longtime artist Christoper Wilson to engrave a series of cartoons on the oven’s stainless-steel exterior.
Otherwise, you’re getting the same high quality you’d expect from the modular Tread oven, which can fit a 12-inch pizza. The portable cooker, with its wide temperature range, can hit 950 degrees Fahrenheit in as little as 15 minutes—and it can cool down in as quickly as 20 minutes. The piece is equipped with the brand’s lateral gas burner, which mimics a classic wood-fire flame for more even cooking of your pizza.

The limited-edition collaboration will be up for grabs on Gozney’s website starting June 18, with a price tag of $550. And if you’re wanting even more on-the-go cooking, you can snag the collab’s bundle that tacks on the Venture Stand (which creates a stable platform in rugged terrains via four adjustable legs) and a Placement Peel (for taking your pizza creations in and out of the oven) for $885.
“The new limited-edition Tread is loud, bold, full of personality, and just like Matty, it doesn’t take itself too seriously,” Tom Gozney, founder and designer of the brand, said in a statement. “But underneath all that fun, it’s still Gozney through and through—built for performance, made to last. We wanted something that visually screams Matty, while still delivering the world-class quality we’re known for.”
Besides collabing with Gozney, Matheson has been plenty busy as of late. The chef is both an executive producer and actor in FX’s acclaimed series The Bear; he plays handyman Neil Fak onscreen, and, as far as we know, he’s expected to return for season four of the hit show. Matheson also published a new cookbook, titled Soups, Salads, Sandwiches, last year, which focuses on just about everything you can imagine within those three categories.
