Am Law 100 firm White & Case has filed a lawsuit against Lycamobile for what it claims is nearly $7.8 million in unpaid legal fees plus interest in a New York court on June 5.
The suit, filed Thursday in New York Supreme Court in Manhattan, claims that White & Case was contracted to provide legal services to Lycamobile in 2022. The cell phone network operator retained White & Case after it was sued by T-Mobile on claims that it accidentally underbilled it for access to its network, and that Lycamobile allowed the underpayments to persist instead of paying the full rate.
