Cadillac Recalls Lyriq SUVs Over Blank Screens

Cadillac has recalled 41,376 Lyriq SUVs from model years 2023-2024 because their driver displays may go blank while driving. That can leave drivers without information about their speed or critical safety warnings.

Cadillac tells federal safety regulators the problem is software-related, and that “the vast majority of these incidents occurred in 2023-2024 model year vehicles equipped with video display control modules that are not updated to the current software version.”

So, dealers will fix it by updating vehicles to the most recent software.

By law, dealers never charge for recall repairs.

Automakers recall many cars, sometimes more than once. Manufacturers attempt to contact every owner but don’t always reach them all with the news. Find out if your car needs any critical safety repairs at our recall center.
