CPO Spotlight: 2022 Jaguar F-Pace

CPO Spotlight: 2022 Jaguar F-Pace

F-Pace Quick Facts

Introduction

The Jaguar F-Pace ushered in a new age with its full refresh in 2021, so it doesn’t get any tangible changes for the 2022 model year. The luxury brand gave its first-ever compact SUV a new, more sculpted look, an updated powerplant, and an interior remake last year. The updates for this year include a now-standard power tailgate, standard adaptive cruise control with steer assist on the SVR model, and available Premium Cabin 30-color ambient lighting. Without coming out and saying it, this F-Pace sets the foundation for Jaguar’s shift to fully electric models just a couple of years down the road.

Jaguar’s best known for its stylish, high-performance sports sedans, and the British brand infused that heritage into the F-Pace. Not only does it look athletic and sporty on the outside, but it lives up to the part. Climb behind the wheel and you’ll find an agile, eager beast, especially with standard all-wheel drive (AWD) helping to keep it planted on the road. Moving inside, the cabin looks the part of a luxury vehicle regardless of size. It’s adorned with premium materials and leading-edge technology. The folks at Jaguar wisely kept the update close to the original model, while giving it a bit of space from its predecessor.

For 2022, the F-Pace comes standard with all-wheel drive (AWD), and five trim levels: P250, P250 S, P340S, P400 R Dynamic S 400, and last, but not least, its high-performance model, the SVR. The four powertrain options range from a turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder putting out 246 horsepower to a 5.0-liter supercharged V8, spewing 542 hp. While compact and taut outside, the F-Pace offers plenty of space inside, with the cargo area behind the second row holding 33.5 cubic feet of stuff. That expands to 63.5 cubic feet when you fold the second row flat, putting it among the roomiest vehicles in its class.

Passengers enjoy a quiet, serene environment courtesy of Active Noise Cancellation. That makes it easier to enjoy the impressive Pivi Pro infotainment system anchored by an 11.4-inch touchscreen. Choice is important, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto come standard on the F-Pace. Of course, a primo sound system is critical, and the F-Pace can be had with an available 12-speaker Meridian system and optional wireless charging pads for the front and rear. The interior is swathed in Luxtec simulated leather and other high-quality materials, and the front seats are badged with delicate embossing and feature an optional massage function with heating/cooling functionality.
