Amazon is okay with sellers using its Multi Channel Fulfillment service (MCF) to fulfill orders placed by Walmart customers – and as of May 15, Walmart is okay with that too. But Walmart is likewise happy to fulfill Amazon orders for sellers using its Walmart Multichannel Solutions (MCS).
Walmart is running a promotion to encourage sellers to use its fulfillment service for orders placed from across the web, including orders placed on Amazon, eBay, Shein, and Temu.
Walmart is offering first-time users of MCS a 30% discount on fulfillment fees through October 1st, stating in an announcement on Monday: “Simultaneously grow on Walmart.com, streamline logistics and provide fast shipping to all your online customers. Your orders can be from anywhere. We’ll fulfill orders from your own website, social media shops, and other marketplaces, including Amazon, eBay, Shein and Temu.”
Similar to Amazon, Walmart offers unbranded packaging to avoid confusing shoppers if non-Walmart orders were to arrive in Walmart boxes – and it does so at no extra cost: “Walmart MCS allows sellers to maintain their brand identity with unbranded packaging, offering a seamless experience without surcharges. While other platforms charge you 5% or more, we offer this service for free.”
Walmart MCS is powered by Walmart Fulfillment Services (WFS). Among the benefits Walmart cited in its announcement were “fast shipping at 15% less than the competition across all sales channels” and “transparent pricing with clear fulfillment and storage fees.”
