DHL Group has announced a leadership change for its North American supply chain division, selecting a new CEO after Patrick Kelleher stepped down.

Kelleher has taken on the CEO role at GXO Logistics, effective Aug. 29. The new DHL Supply Chain North America CEO, Mark Kunar, will report to Oscar de Bok, CEO of DHL Supply Chain. Kunar took over the role on June 20. He was previously chief financial and chief strategy officer for the North America division.
“Customer supply chain needs are creating a transformative environment, necessitating innovation and adaptability to thrive in the current landscape,” Kunar said in a statement announcing his promotion. “This role comes at a pivotal time, and we will use our expertise and product solutions to adapt and grow, ensuring that we remain a key partner to our customers.”
DHL provides shipping carrier services for more than 180 retailers in the Top 2000. The Top 2000 is Digital Commerce 360’s database ranking North America’s largest online retailers by their annual ecommerce sales.
About the new DHL Supply Chain North America CEO
Kunar has spent nearly 30 years with DHL Supply Chain. He joined the company in 1996 as a financial analyst. He stepped into the chief financial and chief strategy officer role in 2024 and “has been responsible for the development and implementation of the North America strategy,” DHL said in a statement announcing the news. It also tasked him with facilitating the growth of products and sectors in the region.
Kunar also has “played a pivotal role,” the company said, in DHL Supply Chain’s recent acquisitions of:
“He notes that his immediate focus will be to manage the seamless integration of the newly acquired businesses into the DHL Supply Chain portfolio,” the company said in its statement.
As DHL Supply Chain North America CEO, Kunar will be responsible for managing the business across the United States and Canada. In doing so, he’ll lead a workforce of about 52,000 associates, DHL said.
“Mark’s broad supply chain and management expertise, paired with his proven commercial acumen and his balanced leadership style, makes him the ideal candidate to take our business into the future in this key market,” said de Bok, in the statement.
