Dodge issued a recall for 8,390 Charger Daytona electric muscle cars from model years 2024-2025 because they don’t emit sounds required to warn pedestrians of their presence.
Electric vehicles (EVs) can be exceptionally quiet. Federal law requires them to emit sounds to warn pedestrians they’re present. But Dodge says some Charger Daytona models “may have been built with amplifiers with an incomplete software upload, which may prevent the emission of exterior sound.”
Dealers can fix the problem with a simple software update.
