The Best Family Suites in the World

The Best Family Suites in the World

Elite Traveler is pleased to present the Top Family Suites in the World for 2025, featuring a collection of the best suites and villas designed with children in mind.

Elite Suites is an ever-expanding collection of the finest accommodations around the world. Five-star service is just a starting point. We select only the hotel suites that consistently meet our highest expectations.

For this year’s family edit, we scoured the globe to find the best of the best in multi-generational travel, focusing on standalone villas, sprawling multi-bedroom suites, and child-focused amenities such as private pools and games rooms.

What makes a family-friendly suite? It’s not only a question of space, but ensuring guests of all ages receive the same high level of service. We’ve looked not only for the largest suites in the finest resorts but specifically at the amenities designed for families. Many of these suites and villas go way beyond providing a kids club, with services including complimentary babysitting and all-day activity planning, and restaurants with bespoke children’s menus.

As for the suites, many of them have multiple rooms with options to extend further. Some are designed so you never have to leave. Think huge private swimming pools, water slides and game rooms for the kids; private balconies and wine cellars for the grown-ups.

Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal

  • Cabo San Lucas, BCS, Mexico

For 4,100 sq ft of pure luxury, opt for the Three Bedroom Beachfront Presidential Suite at Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedegral. This spacious villa is perfect for families or groups looking to soak up the Los Cabos sunshine in a more private, spacious accommodation.

Upon arrival, guests are welcomed with a premium tequila bottle, an assortment of local Mexican beers, and freshly prepared guacamole (replenished daily). A dedicated personal butler is on hand to help visitors quickly settle into their home away from home and ensure a seamless stay from arrival to departure. The modern villa is designed to complement its natural surroundings, featuring stone balconies with thatched hacienda-style coverings, which blend effortlessly into the rugged mountain backdrop.

Inside, the suite spans two floors, offering two master suites and one double queen bedroom, each with marble spa-inspired bathrooms. Positioned just steps from the sand, the villa offers uninterrupted ocean views through floor-to-ceiling windows and binoculars are provided for those eager to spot whales in the distance. The villa’s open-plan living and dining areas extend out onto the expansive outdoor space, where a patio and lawn area provide ample space for entertaining, with a covered dining table and a relaxed seating area positioned around a modern firepit.

For sunseekers, there’s a selection of outdoor loungers with umbrellas and a semi-circle pool for cooling off from the midday heat. For those looking to host a memorable get-together, suite-staying guests can enjoy the additional service of a private chef, who will host private dining experiences from the comfort of your indoor or outdoor dining areas.

And for those with little ones, there’s the option to indulge in Mexican s’mores by the bonfire. Guests also enjoy exclusive beachside service, with an attentive waiter on hand throughout the day, offering towels, sunscreen and refreshing amenities. Spend lazy days lying on the villa’s beach hammock beneath a shaded canopy, enjoying the sea breeze and the sound…

Windjammer Landing Villa Beach Resort

Located on the mesmerizing Labrelotte Bay near the St Lucian capital Castries, where the azure blue skies melt into the sparkling turquoise ocean horizon, is Windjammer Landing Villa Beach Resort, one of the island’s most fabulous vacation destinations.

The resort, which sprawls across a hillside right upon the coast, is perfect for those seeking seclusion and serenity in one of the most vibrant of paradises in the world, with the bustle of the unmissable Rodney Bay Village a 15-minute drive away from the hotel.

The resort has been stylized in a manner akin to a Mediterranean village and is as timelessly elegant in tone as it is in ambience.

Guests of Windjammer Landing Villa Beach Resort can enjoy a variety of restaurants and bars that range from the Upper Deck, which maximizes the Caribbean vistas across the beach for an unforgettable dining experience, to the romantic atmosphere of the candlelit DragonFly.

The spa, as one would expect from a resort of this standard, is excellent: tranquility peaks in the space dedicated to guests’ wellness, whilst the spa menu is impressively extensive, ranging from holistic body treatments to sports recovery massages. And that could come in handy: the hotel boasts great water sports facilities, including scuba diving, waterskiing, and windsurfing.

As for accommodation, the Ocean Point Residence Three-bedroom Villa is perfect for both groups and families to truly indulge in all the luxuries of a tropical beach vacation.

Artwork by local artists celebrate Caribbean culture, whilst amenities such as a private infinity pool and a fully equipped kitchen allow the guests the utmost privacy within the confounds of their own space.

What’s more, a new Ocean Point Club House serves as an exclusive lounge space for guests of the hotel’s residences that comes with a dedicated concierge and private check-in.

Atlantis The Palm

  • Dubai, United Arab Emirates

Dubai is home to some of the world’s most unique suites, and the Underwater Suite at Atlantis The Palm stands as one of the city’s most innovative and extraordinary. Accessible via a private elevator, this suite offers an unparalleled, immersive experience where your only onlookers are the vibrant 65,000 marine creatures of the hotel’s Ambassador Lagoon. Floor-to-ceiling windows frame mesmerizing views, allowing you to watch sharks glide gracefully by as you relax in the luxurious soaking tub or observe spotted rays drifting past your bed. This suite is a true escape, offering an unforgettable experience surrounded by the beauty of the sea.

andBeyond Phinda Homestead

Chic, even quirky, the four suites and common areas that comprise the Phinda Homestead stand out for their contemporary design flourishes and au courant luxury. A bush home that playfully references 1980s elements in its furnishings, the villa looks out over some of South Africa’s most wildlife-filled, grassy woodlands. Situated on some 70,000 acres of diverse reserve in KwaZulu Natal near the Mkuze Game Reserve, the home easily accommodates families or groups. Unlike many safari properties, Phinda Homestead accepts children of all ages, and features a nanny’s room for ease. Adorned with Zulu art and basketwork, the residence brandishes clever design motifs throughout, such as marble basins shaped like Zulu pots. Various common areas, a gym and massage room, library, kitchen, herb garden and pool provide diversion between game drives led by the on-site dedicated guide and tracker.

The Ritz-Carlton Reynolds, Lake Oconee

A sprawling estate set on the tranquil blue waters of its namesake and nestled between the sky-high pines of Georgia, the Lake House of The Ritz-Carlton Reynolds, Lake Oconee, is the ideal retreat for guests seeking outdoor adventure and comforting Southern charm. Perfect for multi-generational families, the resort offers prime fishing occasions, five championship golf courses, water sports for the thrill seekers, and the Ritz Kids Clubhouse for those who don’t yet meet the height restrictions. At the heart of the residence’s sprawling private estate is the three-story, four-bedroom, lakefront residence, complete with a pool and an abundance of private indoor and outdoor space.

Grand-Hôtel du Cap-Ferrat, A Four Seasons Hotel

  • Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, France

On the grounds of the Grand-Hôtel du Cap-Ferrat, A Four Seasons Hotel lies a secret: three ultra-private villas, nestled into the hotel’s lush greenery. Of the three, Villa Beauchamp is our pick: a princely peach-toned, green-shuttered abode offering a slice of seclusion on the French Riviera. The villa has three double bedrooms, with space for up to 12 guests. Inside, she’s slick and stylish; OTT amenities include a media room, fitness center, a sauna and a hamman. Outside, there’s 32,291 sq ft of private gardens, including a 52-ft swimming pool and an outdoor kitchen. Adjoining the main villa is a separate two-bedroom pavilion — all but made for brooding teenagers in need of a little private space.

Cheval Blanc Randheli

  • Randheli Island, Maldives

Set in Noonu Atoll, Cheval Blanc Randheli is a 40-minute journey north of Male; the 46-villa resort occupies its own collection of unspoiled islands connected by bridges. However, the Private Island within the resort can only be reached by a traditional dhoni boat and so offers the absolute peak of privacy. Covering nearly 2.5 acres, the private island has a four-bedroom villa spanning an enormous 23,680 sq ft, an 82-ft infinity pool, a spa, a fitness center, a screening room and a relaxation pavilion. A dedicated team of ambassadors are on hand 24/7 to take care of every little thing, from gastronomic experiences to tailor-made activities.

Nihi Sumba

Beyond the horizon, on a beach where horses gallop across a perfect crescent of sand to swim with guests each morning, and wellness seekers can trek at dawn through a palm-flecked forest to earn their bush-cooked breakfast all before the rest of the resort has left their beds, Nihi Sumba is the quintessence of ‘far-flung.’ The nine-bedroom Mandaka Owner’s Estate extends across a hill’s crest with riveting views of the Indian Ocean. Characteristically Indonesian with grass-and-palm thatched roofs and airy rooms, it comprises five villas that surround a main house. Amenities are plentiful, and include various lap pools, plunge pools, indoor-outdoor dining, outdoor bathtubs, notable art, a fully equipped kitchen and a library — among other attractions.

The Chedi Andermatt

A Jean-Michel Gathy-designed masterpiece, The Chedi Andermatt is one of Switzerland’s most aesthetically arresting hotels. Stark granites, leather details and Alpine woods glow under flattering amber lighting; lined by elegant daybeds, a glossy, emerald-tiled swimming pool is the spa’s centerpiece. The premiere address on the property, the hotel’s five-bedroom Gotthard Suite caters exceptionally well to families: Two large kids’ rooms feature cute bunk bed-style sleeping nooks, while a spruce well-equipped kitchen means prepping a quick snack is easy. Though whether guests ultimately take advantage of that amenity is another thing entirely: The 24-hour room service features lots of indulgent dishes that will likely prove irresistible on snowy evenings, like proper Swiss rösti loaded with mushrooms, bacon, egg and local mountain cheese.

Dorado Beach, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve

Tucked away on Puerto Rica’s Caribbean coast lies Dorado Beach, A Ritz Carlton Reserve. Just a 35-minute drive from San Juan’s Luis Muñoz Marín Airport, the secluded oceanfront sanctuary is situated within an immaculate estate built by financier and conservationist Laurance Rockefeller in the 1950s. Fringed by swaying palms and mango trees, the resort has been thoughtfully designed to blend in with the idyllic surroundings.

The most exclusive abode is the Five Bedroom Villa. Ideal for families and larger groups, the 6,600-sq-ft property can comfortably host up to 12 guests. Located just steps from the Atlantic Ocean, the villa is the perfect place to soak up the stunning sea views. The monochromatic interiors are luxurious yet laid-back with floor-to-ceiling windows bathing the rooms in natural light.

There is plenty of space for entertaining; the residence features an expansive living and dining area, with a private chef on-hand to whip up gourmet meals and a personal embajador to take care of any special requests.

The luxurious villa boasts five bedrooms and seven full bathrooms including a sprawling master bedroom with a king-size bed, hot tub and rainforest outdoor shower. Sliding glass doors open onto an enormous terrace dotted with comfy sofas, loungers and sunshades. Here guests can while away a lazy afternoon by the infinity pool, and, when evening falls, dine al fresco under the stars.

The Five Bedroom Villa is kitted out with all the best tech, including a flat screen TV, Bose wireless speakers in the bathrooms and an iPhone docking station. Elsewhere at Dorado Beach, A Ritz Carlton Reserve, guests can indulge in treatments inspired by traditional manos santos practices at Spa Botánico, visit COA Restaurant to sample culinary delights cooked in a traditional Spanish wood-burning oven, and tee off at the resort’s 18-hole golf courses.

Waldorf Astoria Maldives Ithaafushi

  • Ithaafushi Island, Maldives

Sometimes, the most luxurious thing a suite can offer is space and privacy — and the Private Island at Waldorf Astoria Maldives Ithaafushi has both in abundance. Located in South Malé Atoll, Isthaafushi, it’s around a 40-minute yacht journey or 25-minute flight from the airport that feels like a million miles away from the rest of civilization. As the region’s largest private island, totaling just shy of 350,000 sq ft, there’s enough space for even the extended family, with room for 24 guests (18 adults and six children) across the island’s two beach and overwater villas and one four-bedroom residence.

The Brando

  • Tetiaroa, French Polynesia

A true hideaway about 30 miles north of Tahiti, The Brando private island follows through on delivering an idealized castaway fantasy. One of the world’s most exclusive resorts, it offers complete escapism, superlative spa experiences and immersion in incredible natural beauty. In fact, the real reason for going all this way is to take in those spectacular surroundings. Guests at the three-bedroom Teremoana Residence can do that easily: Just as much space (3,000 sq ft) is allocated to their private grounds as to the villa’s airy interiors. Mornings are often spent in the infinity pool or in the sea or sunbathing under palm trees. Family dinners await on the deck while, with the water garlanded with petals, baths in the villa’s soaking tubs are heavenly.

JOALI Maldives

For those looking for the grandest stay at Joali Maldives, the Four Bedroom Beach Residence with Pool is an expansive retreat spanning 12,917 sq ft and capable of sleeping nine adults. The duplex construction of this residence helps to maximize space, ensuring it’s the ideal choice for large families or groups of friends looking to combine relaxation and celebration.

The impressive suite features its own grand infinity pool that overlooks the blissful Indian Ocean and serves as the perfect central gathering area and hangout for large groups. Next to the pool, there’s an outdoor dining cabana with a wonderfully traditional palm roof—making it the perfect spot for al fresco dining throughout the day or a cool, shady escape during the hottest part of the afternoon.

Inside the residence, guests will find calming living spaces with plenty of natural wood and design details that accentuate craftsmanship. Each space flows naturally to the next, creating a warm, communal environment that excels. There’s also a private fitness room for quick workouts, a curated library ideal for a quiet moment, a sauna room, a hot tub, a butler room, and a dedicated buggy driver for exploring the resort with ease.

The design focus at Joali Maldives is always clear—shelves are decorated with thought-provoking trinkets from local artisans, and there’s always an interesting design book within arm’s reach. The four bedrooms are spaces of real tranquility. Some bedrooms open directly onto the infinity pool through large double doors.

Guests staying in multi-bedroom villas also gain access to exclusive perks, including a whisky, wine, gin, or sake tasting, a family cooking class, a 30-minute padel tennis session, and a 60-minute spa treatment.

Maxx Royal Bodrum Resort

Located on Turkey’s southwestern coast, the Presidential Hill Villa is the most spacious villa at Maxx Royal Bodrum Resort. Spanning 11,442 sq ft, the five-bedroom villa offers a private infinity pool with uninterrupted coastal views. Guests can unwind in the private spa, work out in the gym, or enjoy tennis and water sports. The terrace is perfect for alfresco dining and sunbathing.

The Connaught

Discreetly tucked along Adams Row with its own street entrance, The Mews at The Connaught is a three-story townhouse suite that offers the rare duality of total privacy and seamless access to Mayfair’s most storied hotel. Architect Michael Blair’s vision unfolds in sculptural layers—Douglas Fir flooring, hand-carved staircases, and bespoke walnut shelving—punctuated by curated works from Richard Gorman, Annie Morris, and Louise Bourgeois. The open-plan living room, anchored by twin fireplaces and a concert grand piano, flows into an intimate dining space and concealed kitchen, designed for quiet evenings or private gatherings. Two king bedrooms, each with a marble-clad en suite, are arranged across the upper floors; the top level is reserved entirely for the primary suite, crowned by a skylit bathroom with a freestanding egg-shaped tub. A teak-decked balcony with retractable awning overlooks the street below, while a private corridor connects directly to the hotel.

Delaire Graff Lodge

  • Stellenbosch, South Africa

Set high on the slopes of the Helshoogte Pass, the Owner’s Villa at Delaire Graff is a private residence of rare beauty — a serene, art-filled sanctuary in the heart of the Cape Winelands. Designed to embrace the landscape in its most dramatic form, the villa’s west-facing terrace delivers uninterrupted views stretching across Stellenbosch’s patchworked vineyards to the waters of False Bay and the distant silhouette of Table Mountain. At its edge, a heated infinity pool reflects the ever-changing light, inviting quiet afternoons and golden-hour lounging in complete seclusion. Inside, the villa features original artworks and photographic pieces from Laurence Graff’s personal collection. Four spacious en-suite bedrooms ensure privacy and comfort, while generous living and dining spaces create a natural flow for entertaining. A private chef prepares every meal to order, whether you’re enjoying an elegant, multi-course dinner or a relaxed lunch on the terrace.

One&Only Mandarina

Set beside a perfect beach along the rumbling Pacific Ocean on the lesser-traveled Riviera Nayarit, One&Only Mandarina nestles below a verdant mountain brushed by a jungly rain forest. Eco-oriented, the resort gets accolades as a leader in sustainable luxury and low-density architectural design. Take over Villa One, a paragon of plein air livability, certain to dissipate the stress. With three bedrooms and a prodigious terrace complete with pool, it spreads across two levels, each corner enhanced with Mexican design touches from handmade furniture to colorful art. A gym, private cinema, and game room compete with the resort’s various offerings, easily reached from the villa. In residence, you’ll dine under the ministrations of a private chef and have your days deftly planned by the villa’s dedicated host.

Fullerton Ocean Park

With stunning sea views and a private pool, the Penthouse Pool Suite is up there with Hong Kong’s most entertaining accommodations. Enjoy a floating breakfast in the morning and sundowner cocktails in the evening, all on your private alfresco terrace. Located in the corner of Level 16 of the West Tower, this suite is all about entertaining with sizable dining areas both inside and out. The views are just as spectacular indoors as well, with floor-to-ceiling windows keeping you connected with Hong Kong’s lesser-known natural beauty. Bringing the family? You can extend the suite to two bedrooms by connecting a neighboring Deluxe Oceanfront Room.

Rosewood Mayakoba

There’s a real majesty to Rosewood Mayakoba’s coastal setting. The resort is encircled by mangroves, where turtles glide through the water and spider monkeys hop through the trees, and excursions might lead guests to ancient Mayan ruins or allow for whale-shark sightings. It’s a magical setting for families. Staying at The Founder’s Villa makes it all the better. Completely private and genuinely home-like despite its vast 16,300-sq-ft footprint, the standalone six-bedroom property is packed with facilities and amenities, including its own chef and servers, personal golf carts, a chic beachfront cabana with a swish sound system and inviting firepit, plus a 92-ft infinity pool with unobstructed views of the sea.

Gurney’s Montauk Seawater Spa & Resort

Set against Montauk’s untamed Atlantic edge, the Oceanfront Two Bedroom plus Den Residence Resort is a private shoreline hideaway where coastal New England charm meets quietly elevated design. This standalone residence offers two king bedrooms – each with its own bathroom – alongside a den with a queen sofa bed, forming a layout that flows with the unhurried rhythm of seaside living. Interiors are layered in driftwood tones, warm oak flooring, and custom textiles in ivory and sand, complemented by tailored furnishings, shearling throws, and monochromatic artwork that mirrors the surrounding landscape. The expansive living space is anchored by a stone-framed fireplace and a fully equipped kitchen with marble countertops, a Sub-Zero wine fridge, and Miele appliances, flowing into a dining area designed for relaxed gatherings. Glass doors open onto a private oceanfront terrace, where a firepit and built-in grill frame uninterrupted views of the surf and sky. With direct beach access just steps away, guests move effortlessly between seclusion and scene, supported by Gurney’s full suite of privileges, including entry to the Seawater Spa and its saltwater pool, fitness studio, and beach-facing treatment rooms.
