Ford has recalled 40 F-150 pickups from model year 2025 because their engines may stall unexpectedly. All of the recalled models have 2.7-liter turbocharged V6 engines.
Ford tells federal safety regulators that factory workers clipped a coolant hose and engine wiring harness together without necessary chafing protection. This can cause the wiring harness to pull loose, disconnecting an engine control module and leading to a stall.
Dealers will inspect the parts for damage, replace worn wires, and re-route the wires through a protective sleeve to fix the problem.
