General Motors has reportedly ordered dealers not to sell some 2026 Buick Enclave, Chevrolet Traverse, and GMC Acadia SUVs over an undisclosed production issue.
Fan site GM Authority reports that GM dealers received a bulletin ordering them not to sell some cars. The order reportedly included a list of vehicle identification numbers (VINs). The automaker is currently investigating a potential quality issue.”
The site doesn’t specify the issue. Car and Driver reports that it affects just 92 specific vehicles.
Dealers currently hold thousands of each of the three models in stock, so an issue affecting such a small number doesn’t mean you can’t buy one if you’re in the market. A number so specific likely means the problem is limited to either a specific batch of parts or cars built on a particular date, when a factory may have experienced a problem.
Such incidents are not unusual and do not signal a safety problem with cars not included in a stop-sale order.
We’ve asked GM for details and will update this story when we hear back.
