After two decades of ownership, Elisha Cuthbert has decided to part ways with her home in L.A.’s Hollywood Hills, just above the Sunset Strip. The Canadian TV and film actress—probably best known for her turns in The Ranch, 24, and The Girl Next Door—has stuck a nearly $3.2 million price tag on the modestly sized digs, which are also available for rent at $12,650 per month. Jim Ostridge of Carolwood Estates holds the listing.
A blonde bombshell who graced her share of “hottest women” lists during the aughts and the wife of former NHL defenseman Dion Phaneuf, Cuthbert paid almost $1.65 million for the property in 2005, right around the time she starred in the cult-favorite remake of the 1950s slasher film House of Wax.

Tucked into the foothills behind the Chateau Marmont hotel and situated atop a street-level two-car garage, the pale gray stucco structure was built in the 1930s. Updated and described in marketing materials as a “stunning French-country residence” with “timeless elegance and celebrity-chic style,” the three-bedroom, two-bath abode has roughly 2,100 square feet of two-level living space with rich hardwood floors and rustic hand-hewn beamed ceilings.
A recessed entryway opens into a classic center-hall foyer, which flows to a combined living and dining area sporting the original walk-in wet bar. A bank of accordion-fold glass doors opens the room to a courtyard patio, which is carved into the steep hillside and warmed by a fireplace notched into a curving white concrete-block retaining wall.
A turf-clad patio notched into the hillside behind the house offers cross-canyon and city views.

Elsewhere, a den connects to an all-white kitchen outfitted with marble countertops, an apron-front sink, a professional-grade range, and a breakfast nook, while an upstairs primary suite comes with Juliet balconies and a private bath. The terraced and tropically planted backyard makes the most of its hillside setting with a courtyard fire pit and steps winding up to a turf-clad plateau that’s ideal for chilling out or working out while gazing at the cross-canyon and city views.
