It’s no secret that Scheana Shay and Katie Maloney have had a complex relationship. Since Vanderpump Rules Season 1, fans have witnessed the duo endure a cycle of rifts, fallouts, and reconciliations. But where do the former SURvers stand today? Well, according to Scheana, it’s been a minute since she and Katie have communicated.
The My Good Side author shared the update during the August 29 episode of her Scheananigans podcast.
“Haven’t seen her or spoken to her in almost a year,” Scheana said about Katie. “So that’s where we stand — clearly far apart.”

Scheana also addressed recent claims regarding her and Brock Davies’ 2022 wedding in Mexico. The ceremony, which was featured in Vanderpump Rules Season 10, went down while Scheana and Katie were on the outs. The tensions became so severe that Scheana ultimately disinvited Katie to her wedding; however, that didn’t stop Katie from traveling to Mexico during the celebration and staying at the same resort.

Scheana revisited the drama during the August 29 podcast episode, when a fan pointed to Katie’s Instagram comments about Scheana and Brock’s wedding.
“It was ultimately Katie’s decision. Katie did not have to come to Mexico,” Scheana said. “So she chose to come. Obviously, she doesn’t wanna miss out on an episode as much as they do the flashbacks to what’s still going on in LA. I think she wanted to be there. She wanted to go to Mexico… No one ever wants to be left out of a trip.”
Where does Scheana Shay stand with Lala Kent?
While she and Katie have lost touch over the past year, Scheana has remained on good terms with her former castmate Lala Kent. She spoke about the friendship in the aforementioned podcast episode, after a fan questioned why Lala didn’t promote Scheana’s new memoir sooner.

“So I think it was maybe a week after it came out, I saw she posted a slide and just said ‘at Scheana,’ there was nothing else she posted,” Scheana said.
“I had reached out to her a couple of days after all the [book] boxes were delivered, because… yes, you do expect your closest friends to post and support,” she explained. “And I sent everyone a really nice PR box. I’m assuming she got it, because she posted the book ‘at Scheana.’”
Scheana didn’t share too many details about her relationship with Lala, but insisted they were “still friends.” She also confirmed that her and Lala’s 4-year-old daughters — Summer Moon Honey Davies and Ocean Kent Emmett, respectively — have remained besties.
