The order, which went into effect Friday, says that all civil litigation in the District of New Jersey involving the United States as a party is immediately suspended, postponed and held in abeyance, continuing either until the federal government is funded through congressional appropriation or for a period of 30 days from the entry of the order, whichever comes sooner.
